Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

Compared to “classic” Bluetooth technology, BLE consumes less battery power while providing similar communication range. BLE has applications in healthcare and fitness and proximity sensing capabilities which enable the BLE-enabled devices to detect the presence of nearby objects without making physical contact.
