Adaptive Signal Control (ASC)

A traffic management strategy which includes approaches that alter the operations of traffic signals based on the demand, or traffic composition. An example of such strategies is signal timing adaptation for giving priority to certain road users such as buses, trucks, or emergency vehicles.
